"Roberto Arcari is born in Milan, Italy, in 1970. Lives in Milan. After attending Classical Studies in High School and Architecture at University, he started working in a photographic news agency in Milan in 1994. He joins "Grazia Neri Agency" in 1998, with the production of a photo essay on illegal immigration in the south of Italy.

In 1999 he followed the Kosovian and Albanian tragedy: from the first refuggees' arrival in Macedonia to their return to the homes, passing through the Albanian refugee camps. In 2000 he wins the selection for the Master Class of the World Press Photo.

His photos and reportages have been published in Italian and International magazines: Panorama, Espresso, Internazionale,   Anna, Grazia, L' Hebdo, Stern,   Der Spigel, Time...
Besides following international news, he is currently working on mid-long term projects, in Italy and abroad.Since 2001 he is a staff-photographer for Contrasto agency."
