"Born in Rome in 1953, Patrizia Savarese entered the Architecture faculty of the Institute of European Design and graduated with a diploma in "Interior Architecture" and successively in Photography. She began working as a photographer in show business where she traveled with international rock stars on tour as well as photographing foreign and Italian artists for music magazines. She is considered one of the best rock photographers in Italy and in the 80's she published and exhibited her work. Towards the middle of the 80's began her work with fashion and advertising, where she collaborated with the magazine L'Espresso for illustration and cover design.
She then began working in black and white photography of nudes and in particular, as one of the first Italian photographers to focus on the male nude. She currently works on illustration of images and publicity for the American catalogue "The Stock Market."
Her personal research is directed towards moments of the elaboration of artistic images for commercial use. She used theme of water for the TEUCO-GUZZINI calendar from 1998-2000.
In addition to her observation of the body, Savarese has dedicated her work to the theme of food for the publishing house Colombo along with a calendar and new edition of "The Talisman of Happiness" (Italian cookbook).
She has been with Contrasto since 1988."
